EXAMS are totally going to be the end of me. Apart from Ellington i have been studying Electrical/Instrumentation for the past 5 years…It’s been a very long five years and so many hurdles have been thrown my way on the road to completing it. Obviously because of this commitment, Ellington hasn’t really been given the chance it could have if i could work on it full time….Next week i sit my final exams and if i pass, i will be finished and with the new year will come a lot of really good things for myself and the band. Until then, my weekend is crammed full of study so wish me luck for next week.

We’re trying really hard to get on some big tours to see the year out, we have been busy writing and towards the end of the year/earl next year we will head into the studio and start recording our debut album. Thank you for your patience!

Sometimes plans dont work out, in my case i was headed to work, then straight after work i was going to drive down to Brisbane for a photo shoot with the rest of the band. SO…..its 6am, im literally 5 minutes from home and i run up the back of some guy stopped behind a street sweeper on a bridge..DANG!!!!!!!!!!!! so now i need to start the search for a new car ha! On a good note my mum brought me a bottle of Makers Mark whiskey to make me feel a lil better.

We recently had a quick trip down to the gold coast, gotta say that it was one of the funnest sets we have ever played to probably the smallest crowd we have ever played to! Dont know what was up but maybe 18+ shows on the gold coast while the football finals are on just aren’t a good idea lol..whatever, we had fun!

We headed out for Sydney on Friday night after a very long drive down south form my home town to brisbane! The hire place we usually get vans through didn’t have any available so we got to hire this very sexy ford explorer. After a very early morning, we spent the day at the Sydney 2000 Olympics venue at a festival called Big Exo Day. The organizers were SUPER nice to us and treated us like rockstars when…well…we aren’t so i gotta give them a huge shout out for all the help throughout the day! The crowds were nice to us and we had a handful of awesome fans come out just to see us play which was nice :). Despite a complete malfunction at the end of our second set lol, we had fun and hope to play again next year fo sure!

One thing i totally learnt from this weekend is that i have this huge desire to write songs that live with people for the rest of their lives. I’ve always had something i me that wanted to write songs that inspired people and kinda became the soundtrack to your life i guess, in the good times and bad. Friendships were restored and some things were really put into perspective for me.

I think it’s made/or will make our band stronger in the long run and i guess this isnt starting to make sense because you dont know what im talking about hehe.  We have some exciting news for ya’ll soon and we are working hard on some more shows AND more importantly some brand new music! That’s all i can really say for now. Photo shoot this weekend too and i cant wait.

So i spent the weekend down and Brisbane, We played a show with some nice dudes in a band called Playjerise. We had alot of fun and thank so much to those that came out. The rest of my lil weekend was relaxing, watched movies, my buddy renae cassar on video hits and then had to make the 600km drive home. Heading to the Gold Coast next weekend.
